Cover Teacher Opportunity in West London
Tradewind Recruitment is working with a large and inclusive secondary school in West London seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Teacher to join their team immediately.

Role Summary
As a Cover Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons and supervise learning across a range of subjects while maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects.
- Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Maintain a safe, positive and productive learning environment.
- Support students in completing work and remaining engaged in learning.
- Follow behaviour policies and school procedures.
- Build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- Adapt confidently to different subject areas and year groups.
- Promote high standards of behaviour, learning and achievement.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification recognised in the UK.
- Experience working within a secondary school setting.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to adapt quickly across different subjects and year groups.
- A professional, reliable and positive approach.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Pay and Progression
£170-£210 per day, paid weekly via PAYE.
Pay is determined by qualifications, recent UK secondary teaching experience, subject knowledge, classroom management skills and the responsibilities required by the individual assignment.
The highest rate of £210 per day is typically available to teachers who can demonstrate substantial secondary teaching experience, a strong track record of effective classroom practice and the ability to confidently deliver lessons across a range of subject areas.
