Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants for long-term opportunities across specialist schools, Alternative Provision settings, PRUs and ARPs across West London.
Opportunities are available supporting pupils aged 4-19 with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language needs, SEMH, MLD, SLD, PMLD and complex behavioural needs.
Role Summary
You will work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff to help pupils access learning, build confidence and achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small groups.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Deliver support linked to EHCP outcomes.
- Encourage independence, confidence and social development.
- Work alongside teachers, therapists and pastoral teams.
- Adapt support to meet individual pupil needs.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for these opportunities, you should have:
- Experience working with children or young people.
- Experience within education, care, youth work or similar settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, resilient and proactive approach.
- A genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs.
- A willingness to learn and develop within SEND education.
Previous SEND experience is desirable but not essential for candidates with relevant transferable skills and the right attitude.
Pay and Progression
£95-£120 per day, paid weekly via PAYE.
Rates are determined by previous experience, qualifications, SEND knowledge and the complexity of the role.
The highest rate of £120 per day is typically available to candidates with substantial experience supporting pupils with SEND, experience within specialist settings and the ability to work confidently with pupils who have complex additional needs.
