Role Summary

As a Year 3 Teacher, you will take full responsibility for a Year 3 class, delivering engaging lessons that support pupils' academic progress and personal development throughout their first year in Key Stage 2.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 3 curriculum.
  • Teach English, mathematics and foundation subjects.
  • Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress.
  • Adapt learning to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Establish positive classroom routines and maintain high expectations for behaviour.
  • Work closely with the parallel Year 3 teacher to share planning, resources and best practice.
  • Support pupils' confidence, independence and transition into Key Stage 2.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching within a UK primary school setting.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Experience teaching or supporting pupils within Key Stage 2.
  • A good understanding of assessment and progression within KS2.
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Pay and Progression

Pay is determined using the national teacher pay scale.
This position is paid on the Inner London Teacher Pay Scale M1-UPS3 (£40,317-£62,496). The salary offered will reflect the successful candidate's current pay scale point, previous teaching experience and any applicable pay portability considerations, in line with the school's pay policy.
To be considered for this position, applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching within a UK primary school setting.
