Role Summary
As a Year 4 Teacher, you will deliver engaging and challenging learning experiences across the Key Stage 2 curriculum, helping pupils develop their knowledge, skills and confidence across a broad range of subjects.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 4 curriculum.
- Teach English, mathematics and foundation subjects.
- Support pupils in developing times tables fluency and preparation for the Multiplication Tables Check.
- Use formative and summative assessment to monitor progress and inform teaching.
- Adapt learning for pupils with SEND, EAL and differing levels of attainment.
- Establish positive classroom routines and maintain high expectations for behaviour.
- Support pupils in developing resilience, confidence and independence.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCO staff and colleagues.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for these opportunities, you must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching within primary education, ideally within Key Stage 2.
- Familiarity with the Multiplication Tables Check and strategies to support pupil success.
- Strong subject knowledge across the KS2 curriculum.
- Experience adapting teaching for pupils with SEND, EAL and differing levels of attainment.
- Experience using assessment effectively to support pupil progress.
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
- Up-to-date safeguarding knowledge.
Pay and Progression
Pay is determined using the national teacher pay scale.
This position is paid on the Inner London Teacher Pay Scale M1-M6 (£40,317-£52,300). The salary offered will reflect the successful candidate's current pay scale point, previous teaching experience and any applicable pay portability considerations, in line with the school's pay policy.
The equivalent daily rate is approximately £207-£268 per day, paid weekly via PAYE.
The highest salary point of £52,300 is typically available to teachers with substantial classroom experience, a strong track record of pupil progress, excellent curriculum knowledge and the ability to contribute positively to whole-school improvement and pupil outcomes.
