Tradewind Recruitment is working with a well-established primary academy in Uxbridge seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team from October 2026 for the remainder of the academic year.

Role Summary
As a KS1 Teacher, you will take responsibility for a Key Stage 1 class, delivering engaging lessons that support pupils' academic progress, personal development and confidence as learners.
The specific year group will be confirmed based on the school's staffing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum.
- Teach English, mathematics and foundation subjects.
- Deliver high-quality phonics teaching to support early reading development.
- Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet different learning needs.
- Establish positive classroom routines and maintain high expectations for behaviour.
- Create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and school leaders.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers.
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching within primary education, ideally within Key Stage 1.
- A secure understanding of phonics and early reading development.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
- High expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A collaborative and professional approach to working within a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and supporting children's wellbeing.
Pay and Progression
Pay is determined using the national teacher pay scale.
This position is paid on the Outer London Teacher Pay Scale M1-UPS3 (£39,739-£60,092). The salary offered will reflect the successful candidate's current pay scale point, previous teaching experience and any applicable pay portability considerations, in line with the school's pay policy.
The highest salary point of £60,092 is typically available to teachers with substantial classroom experience, excellent curriculum knowledge, a proven track record of pupil progress and the ability to make a significant contribution to school improvement and pupil outcomes.
