Join a Supportive West London Primary School
Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming 3-form entry primary school in West London seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to teach a Year 2 class from November 2026 until July 2027.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established KS1 team and play a key role during an important stage of children's education. The successful candidate will help pupils develop strong literacy, numeracy and communication skills while preparing them for their transition into Key Stage 2.

Role Summary
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will take responsibility for a Year 2 class, delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils to make strong academic and personal progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 2 curriculum.
- Teach English, mathematics and foundation subjects.
- Support pupils' phonics, reading and early literacy development.
- Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress.
- Differentiate learning to meet individual needs.
- Establish positive classroom routines and maintain high expectations for behaviour.
- Work collaboratively with parallel Year 2 teachers to share planning, resources and ideas.
- Support pupils' confidence, independence and readiness for Key Stage 2.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching within a UK primary school setting.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Experience teaching or supporting pupils within Key Stage 1.
- A good understanding of assessment and progression within KS1.
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
- A positive and collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
Pay and Progression
Pay is determined using the national teacher pay scale.
This position is paid on the Outer London Teacher Pay Scale M1-M6 (£39,739-£50,617). The salary offered will reflect the successful candidate's current pay scale point, previous teaching experience and any applicable pay portability considerations, in line with the school's pay policy.
To be considered for this position, applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching within a UK primary school setting.
