Experienced Administrator Opportunity

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming school in Richmond upon Thames for an Experienced Administrator to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and professional administrator with strong customer service skills to work within a busy school environment. You will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the school while communicating professionally with staff, students, parents and visitors.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide professional administrative and customer service support across a range of school functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day administrative duties efficiently and accurately
  • Respond to enquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Provide excellent customer service to parents, students, staff and visitors
  • Answer telephone calls and manage email correspondence
  • Maintain accurate records and update school systems
  • Prepare letters, reports and administrative documents
  • Organise information and maintain filing systems
  • Support staff with general administrative requirements
  • Handle queries and direct them to the appropriate team member
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow school procedures
  • Provide a professional and welcoming front-of-house service when required

Candidate Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in an administrative role
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and administrative systems
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Professional and approachable manner
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience working in a school, education, public sector or similar professional environment
  • Experience using SIMS and/or Arbor
  • Experience working within a busy office environment

Pay and Progression

Pay for this position ranges from £16 to £18 per hour, depending on experience, responsibilities and assignment requirements.
The highest available rate of £18 per hour would typically be offered to candidates with substantial school administration experience, advanced knowledge of SIMS and/or Arbor, excellent customer service skills, strong organisational abilities and the ability to work independently within a busy school office environment.
