Tradewind Recruitment is working with a highly regarded Secondary SEND School in Hammersmith & Fulham seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support students aged 11-19. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, graduates, support workers, care workers and youth workers looking to make a genuine difference in specialist education.

Role Summary
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students both inside and outside the classroom, helping them access learning, develop independence and achieve their individual goals.
Students may present with:
- Autism
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
- Speech and Language Needs
- ADHD
- Social Communication Needs
Key Responsibilities
- Support learning across a range of curriculum subjects
- Deliver 1:1 support and small-group interventions
- Promote independence and self-confidence
- Help students develop communication and life skills
- Support emotional wellbeing and positive engagement
- Assist teachers with differentiated learning activities
- Build positive relationships with students and their families
- Work closely with teachers and specialist professionals
Candidate Requirements
- Positive and patient approach to supporting young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults is desirable
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Passion for SEND education and inclusion
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
Pay and Progression
Pay ranges from £95 to £120 per day depending on experience, qualifications and responsibilities within the role.
Candidates with previous SEND experience, autism awareness, learning support qualifications, speech and language support experience, behaviour management skills or experience working within specialist educational settings may be considered for opportunities at the upper end of the pay scale of £120 per day.
