Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced Science Teacher for a thriving secondary school in Harrow from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic teacher with strong UK curriculum experience to join a supportive Science department and teach motivated secondary-aged students.

Role Summary
As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and effective lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop a strong understanding of scientific concepts while supporting excellent academic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons in line with the UK curriculum.
- Assess, monitor and support student progress.
- Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
- Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development.
- Promote high standards of behaviour and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and wider school staff.
- Participate fully in school life and professional development opportunities.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Minimum of two years' experience teaching the UK curriculum.
- Strong subject knowledge across Science.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Commitment to raising standards and supporting pupil achievement.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
- Right to work in the UK.
Pay and Progression
This position is paid in accordance with the national teacher pay scale, with salaries ranging from £39,196 to £58,120 per annum including Outer London Allowance.
The upper end of the pay scale is typically awarded to teachers who can demonstrate substantial teaching experience, excellent outcomes for pupils, strong curriculum knowledge, leadership contributions, mentoring responsibilities and a proven impact on teaching and learning.
