Graduate Teaching Assistant Opportunity
Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming secondary school in Harrow seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis.

The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and support staff to help pupils engage with learning and overcome barriers to academic progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Deliver one-to-one and small-group interventions
- Help students overcome barriers to learning
- Promote confidence, resilience and independence
- Build strong and supportive relationships with pupils
- Support students with SEND where appropriate
- Work collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
- Degree-level qualification
- Positive, enthusiastic and approachable personality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Commitment to education and student development
Desirable Requirements
- Experience working with young people through mentoring, tutoring, youth work, coaching or education
- Experience supporting students with SEND, including ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia or SEMH
- Interest in Teaching, Educational Psychology or related professions
Pay and Progression
Pay for this position ranges from £100 to £110 per day, depending on experience, qualifications and assignment requirements.
The highest available rate of £110 per day would typically be offered to graduates with previous school-based experience, SEND experience, intervention delivery experience and a proven ability to support students independently across a range of learning needs.
