Salary: £39,193-£52,239, dependent on experience
Daily rate: Approximately £200-£267 per day, dependent on experience and assignment
Pay structure: Weekly PAYE

Tradewind Recruitment is working with primary schools in Barnet looking for qualified Year 3 Teachers to work on a full-time or part-time, long-term temporary basis from October 2026.

This is an opportunity to teach within KS2, helping Year 3 pupils develop their knowledge, confidence and independence as they progress through the primary curriculum.

You'll deliver engaging lessons across the Year 3 curriculum, using assessment to identify learning needs and adapting teaching to support pupils with SEND, EAL and different levels of attainment.

The Role

You'll take responsibility for teaching Year 3 pupils and supporting their academic and personal development.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Year 3 curriculum.
  • Teaching English, maths and foundation subjects.
  • Developing pupils' reading, writing and mathematical skills.
  • Supporting the development of times tables fluency.
  • Using formative and summative assessment to monitor progress and inform teaching.
  • Adapting teaching for pupils with SEND, EAL and different levels of attainment.
  • Establishing clear classroom routines and maintaining positive behaviour.
  • Supporting pupils to develop confidence, resilience and independence.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to share planning, resources and ideas.

Who Should Apply?

The schools are looking for qualified primary teachers with relevant KS2 teaching knowledge and experience.

You'll need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), essential.
  • Primary teaching experience, ideally within KS2 or Year 3.
  • Strong subject knowledge across the primary curriculum.
  • Confidence adapting teaching for pupils with SEND and EAL.
  • Experience using assessment to support pupil progress.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A positive and collaborative approach.
  • Up-to-date safeguarding knowledge and a commitment to children's wellbeing.
