Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in North London seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join its learning support team.

Role Summary
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers and the SEND team to support students with a range of additional learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with SEND.
- Support students across a range of curriculum areas.
- Help students build confidence, independence and positive learning habits.
- Work alongside teachers and the SEND team to implement support strategies.
- Support students with communication, cognition, learning, social and emotional needs.
- Reinforce learning and help reduce barriers to progress.
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
- Build effective and supportive relationships with students.
- Monitor progress and communicate effectively with colleagues.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
- Experience working within an educational setting, ideally a secondary school environment.
- A commitment to inclusive education and supporting young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- A proactive, patient and supportive approach.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Pay Information
- £95-£110 per day, paid weekly via PAYE.
- Pay rates are determined by relevant experience, qualifications, skills and the specific requirements of the assignment.
