Daily SEN Supply Teacher Opportunities

The Role

As a Daily SEN Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons, maintain positive learning environments and support pupil progress across specialist educational settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality lessons across a variety of SEND environments
  • Adapt learning to meet individual pupil needs
  • Maintain strong classroom management and positive behaviour expectations
  • Promote pupil engagement, wellbeing and achievement
  • Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, support staff and school leaders
  • Provide continuity of learning during teacher absences
  • Adapt confidently to different classes, age groups and school settings

Candidate Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent
  • Experience teaching within SEND settings
  • Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different educational environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional, flexible and proactive approach
  • Commitment to supporting children and young people with additional needs

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience supporting pupils with ASD, SEMH, PMLD or complex learning needs
  • Experience teaching across multiple age groups or SEND provisions
  • Additional SEND qualifications or specialist training

Pay and Progression

Pay for these opportunities ranges from £170 to £180 per day, depending on experience, qualifications and assignment requirements.
The highest available rate of £180 per day would typically be offered to teachers with substantial SEND teaching experience, specialist SEND expertise, strong behaviour management skills and a proven ability to work effectively across a variety of specialist educational settings.
