Pay: £95-£120 per day, dependent on experience, qualifications and assignment requirements, paid weekly via PAYE

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils engage with learning, build confidence and make positive progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students in and out of the classroom
  • Deliver literacy and numeracy interventions
  • Encourage engagement, confidence and participation in learning
  • Support pupils with a range of learning needs
  • Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources
  • Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
  • Help create a safe and supportive learning environment

Candidate Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Positive, proactive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
  • Commitment to supporting children's learning and development
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous school-based experience
  • Experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs
  • Relevant education, childcare or support qualifications

Pay and Progression

Pay for this position ranges from £95 to £120 per day, depending on experience, qualifications and assignment requirements.
The highest available rate of £120 per day would typically be offered to candidates with substantial school-based experience, experience delivering interventions, SEND knowledge and the ability to support pupils independently across a range of learning needs.
