Media Teacher Opportunity
Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting for a passionate and creative Media Teacher to join a thriving secondary academy in Havering on a full-time, long-term supply basis until the end of the academic year.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Media Teacher to join a supportive secondary school, inspire young people through creative teaching and develop their experience within a well-established educational environment.

Role Summary
As a Media Teacher, you will deliver engaging and creative lessons that develop students' understanding of media industries, audiences, representation and media language.
You will teach across relevant Key Stages, support pupil progress and contribute to a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Media lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Teach Media across relevant Key Stages, including examination classes where required.
- Create engaging lessons that encourage students to analyse, interpret and produce different forms of media.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Prepare students for internal and external assessments.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement and achievement.
- Contribute to the development of Media resources and schemes of learning.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the school.
- Play an active role in the wider life of the school community.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- A degree in Media, Media Studies or a closely related subject.
- Strong knowledge of the Media curriculum and examination specifications.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A passion for inspiring students through creative teaching.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- A commitment to supporting students to achieve their potential.

Pay Information
- London MPS/UPS.
- Pay is determined in accordance with the national teacher pay scale and relevant school pay policies.
- Teachers will be placed on the appropriate scale point according to relevant qualifications, experience and role requirements.
