Trainee Teaching Assistant - Preston and South Ribble
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently looking to recruit Trainee Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Central Preston, Leyland and Bamber Bridge and South Ribble.

This role is ideal for someone who may not have worked in a school before but has experience supporting children through nursery work, childcare, or child and adult support roles, particularly where Special Educational Needs (SEN) support has been involved.

Schools are looking for individuals who are patient, proactive and confident using their initiative to support pupils both in and out of the classroom.

You will be supporting teachers and working closely with pupils who may need additional help with learning, behaviour or communication, helping to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience working with children in nurseries, childcare settings, or support work

  • Experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable

  • A proactive attitude and the ability to use initiative in the classroom

  • A genuine interest in supporting children's learning and development
