We are working with a primary school in Greenwich that is seeking a confident KS1 Class Teacher to join their team on a long-term, full-time, temporary basis. This is a great opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with younger pupils and wants to make a real difference to their learning and development.

The role

You will take responsibility for teaching a KS1 class, delivering engaging lessons and creating a positive classroom environment where pupils can thrive.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the KS1 curriculum
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Managing behaviour effectively and establishing positive classroom routines
  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants, colleagues and school leaders
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school

Experience and qualifications

  • Essential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Essential: previous experience teaching in a UK primary school
  • Essential: KS1 teaching experience and a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A positive, adaptable and committed approach to teaching

The important details

  • Pay: paid as a daily rate calculated from the Inner London Main and Upper Pay Ranges, equivalent to £41,729 to £64,684 per annum (gross). Your pay point depends on your qualifications and teaching experience, in line with the school's pay policy. Holiday pay is provided in line with the Working Time Regulations. Pay rates may be reviewed after 12 weeks in the same role in line with the Agency Workers Regulations 2010.
