We are pleased to be working with a successful and inclusive secondary school in Wellingborough who are looking to appoint a committed Secondary School Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026 on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will work alongside teachers and support staff to provide targeted assistance to students, helping them engage with lessons, overcome barriers to learning and achieve their goals.

The Role
Supporting students across a range of subjects within the secondary curriculum
Providing one-to-one and small group support to help students progress
Assisting pupils with additional needs, including SEND, autism, ADHD and SEMH requirements
Helping teachers deliver engaging lessons through classroom support and preparation of resources
Encouraging positive attitudes towards learning and supporting student confidence
Promoting independence, resilience and personal development among pupils
Supporting classroom routines and contributing to a positive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
Has a passion for working with teenagers and supporting their educational journey
Is approachable, patient and able to inspire confidence in students
Has strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
Can adapt to different situations and work effectively within a school team
Is dependable, proactive and enthusiastic about making a difference
Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
Is keen to develop their skills and progress within the education sector
