Primary Teacher

Are you an inspiring teacher who thrives in a creative and collaborative classroom? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a versatile Primary Teacher to take over a lovely mixed Year 3/4 class at a welcoming school in Leigh.

This position is to start as soon as possible and will run until July 2026. For the right candidate, there is a strong potential for this role to extend into the new academic year.

Teaching a mixed-age class offers a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate your differentiation skills and pedagogical creativity. You will be responsible for:

Planning & Delivery: Creating engaging, dual-objective lessons that cater to both the Year 3 and Year 4 curriculum frameworks.

Assessment: Tracking the progress of two distinct year groups and ensuring that all pupils-regardless of age-are stretched and supported.

Classroom Culture: Maintaining a positive, high-energy environment that fosters a love for learning across Lower Key Stage 2.

Collaboration: Working closely with the LKS2 phase leader and fellow teachers to ensure consistency in moderate and assessment.

Requirements

To be considered for this Year 3/4 teaching role, you must:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (experience with mixed-age classes is a significant advantage).

Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate effectively for varying ability levels.

Be available to start as soon as possible and commit until the end of the summer term.

Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one).

Legal right to work in the UK.
