Casual Cover Supervisor

Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Pay: £100 - £120 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Casual / Day-to-Day Supply

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting Casual Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in the Kettering area. This role is ideal for confident individuals looking for flexible work in education, including graduates, aspiring teachers, or those with experience working with young people.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom during teacher absences, delivering pre-set work and ensuring students remain engaged and on task.

The role includes:

  • Supervising whole classes across various subjects

  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans

  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Supporting students to complete their work

  • Reporting back to teaching staff at the end of the day

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is confident and professional in a classroom setting

  • Has strong communication and behaviour management skills

  • Is adaptable, reliable, and organised

  • Has experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)

  • Holds, or is willing to apply for, an enhanced DBS check

  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
