🛠 Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School - Tower Hamlets - September Start 🛠

A forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join their dedicated pastoral and support team from September 2025.

📍 Location: Tower Hamlets, East London
📅 Start Date: September 2025
💼 Role: Behaviour Mentor
📚 School Type: Secondary (ages 11-16)
🕒 Contract: Full-time, term-time only
💰 Salary: £90-£110 per day (dependent on experience)


🔹 Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring to students with behavioural, social, and emotional needs

  • Support students in managing their behaviour, developing self-regulation strategies, and building confidence

  • Work closely with the SENCO, pastoral team, and teaching staff to implement behaviour support plans

  • Assist in de-escalating challenging situations using a calm, trauma-informed approach

  • Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and inclusion both in and out of the classroom

  • Contribute to a safe, respectful, and nurturing school environment


🔹 The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with young people in a school, youth work, or support setting

  • Be confident managing behaviour and supporting students facing SEMH challenges

  • Have strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Be resilient, empathetic, and committed to making a difference

  • Team-Teach or other behaviour management training is desirable (or willingness to train)

  • Have a genuine interest in education, youth development, or pastoral care
