Job Description (JD) - Secondary Teaching Assistant

Position: Full-Time Secondary Teaching Assistant
Start Date: September
Location: Secondary schools across Westminster
Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students across a range of subjects, working closely with teachers to enhance learning
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour strategies
  • Deliver targeted interventions for pupils who need additional support
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support, including for students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with secondary-aged students (preferred but not essential)
  • A confident communicator and positive role model
  • Passionate about supporting young people's learning and wellbeing
  • Able to build relationships with students and staff alike
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
