To become a primary school teacher, you will need 

  • Proof of a QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or a Postgraduate Teacher Training Course Certificate
  • Have an A* - C in Maths, English and Science GSCE
  • Suitable A’ Levels
  • An up-to-date Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Be able to pass a simple numeracy and literacy skills test
  • Have valid work experience within a Primary School (completed as part of your training)
  • Proof of your legal right to work in the UK (Inclusive of any Work Permits and Visas)
