Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and professional Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive secondary school in Southwark on a temporary contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them develop positive behaviours, confidence and engagement with education. The Role

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with pupils and school staff to provide targeted support for students who may benefit from additional guidance with behaviour, engagement and their learning.

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing one-to-one and small-group mentoring and support
• Building positive and professional relationships with pupils
• Supporting students to develop positive behaviour and engagement strategies
• Working collaboratively with teachers and pastoral staff
• Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
• Encouraging positive participation in school life
• Contributing to a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• A degree or relevant educational qualification is preferred
• Previous experience working with young people or in a school/education setting is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A professional and supportive approach to working with pupils
• The ability to build positive relationships and maintain appropriate boundaries
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
