Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient SEMH Class Teacher to join a supportive educational setting in the Corby area.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and helping them achieve both academically and personally.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs
- Create a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment
- Support students with behavioural, emotional, and social development
- Adapt learning to meet individual needs and abilities
- Work closely with support staff, parents, and external agencies
- Promote positive behaviour strategies and emotional wellbeing
- Monitor student progress and contribute to personalised support plans
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Has experience working with SEMH students or within alternative provision/SEND settings
- Demonstrates strong behaviour management skills
- Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
- Has excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Is passionate about making a positive impact on young people's lives
ECTs with relevant experience or a strong interest in SEMH education are encouraged to apply.
