Job Description
A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Islington is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their support team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain long-term experience in a school setting while making a real difference to students' learning and confidence.
You will work closely with teaching staff to support students across KS3 and KS4, providing in-class assistance as well as targeted 1:1 and small group support.
Pay: £90 - £105 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, term-time only | Long-term role
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting students in lessons across a range of subjects
- Providing 1:1 and small group intervention support
- Assisting with classroom management and lesson preparation
- Encouraging engagement, confidence and positive behaviour
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with young people (school, tutoring, youth work or similar)
- Be patient, proactive and confident supporting secondary-aged students
- Have a genuine interest in education and student development
