Teaching Assistant

SANZA Teaching Agency recruiting for a teaching assistant to work across key stage 2 (year 3 to year 6). The role will be working with key groups of students throughout the day. The students all have additional needs (including Autism).
About you:
Perhaps you are a recent university graduate considering a PGCE in the future? Or perhaps you are considering a career in an adjacent field, such as psychology/counselling, play therapist, occupational therapy, speech & language, social work etc?
If so, you will need to meet the below criteria to apply:
- Experience working with children is essential
- Experience working as a teaching assistant/in schools is desirable
- Experience working with learning needs is desirable
- Must be passionate about supporting children with additional needs
- Must be confident and personable
- Must be able to build strong rapport with children and work well in a large school environment
You will be required to:
- Implement personalised learning programmes with key students
- Support teachers in monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupil achievement, progress and development
- Work with small groups of students
- Work 1:1 with students as required
- Deliver fun and creative lessons to small groups of students to engage them in learning tasks and progress their development
