Job Description

We are working with several secondary schools in Haringey who are looking for reliable and committed Teaching Assistants to support students across KS3 and KS4.

This is a hands-on role. On any given day, you might be supporting a pupil who struggles to regulate their behaviour in lessons, helping a small group stay on task, or providing quiet encouragement to a student who lacks confidence in class. It's not always easy, but it is genuinely rewarding if you enjoy building relationships and seeing progress over time.

The Role:

  • Supporting students in lessons, both one-to-one and in small groups
  • Working closely with pupils who need additional behaviour or emotional support
  • Helping teachers maintain a calm, focused classroom environment
  • Providing consistent support to students who benefit from routine and structure
  • Acting as a positive and steady presence throughout the school day

The Right Person Will:

  • Have experience working with young people (schools, youth work, care or mentoring)
  • Be calm, resilient, and confident setting boundaries
  • Communicate clearly and build trust with students
  • Be reliable and happy to commit to a long-term placement
  • Hold a DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply

Why This Role:

  • Long-term opportunities in supportive secondary schools
  • Valuable experience working with behaviour and SEMH needs
  • Ongoing support from an experienced education consultant
  • A role where you can see the impact of your work every day
