Temp-to-Perm - £140 per day

The Role: Pastoral Support Team Member

  • You will join a dedicated Pastoral Support Team to support students' emotional and academic development. Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting students' wellbeing and helping them develop emotional self-regulation
  • Building trusting, positive relationships with pupils to guide reflection and personal growth
  • Understanding individual SEND needs to support the school's reflect-repair-reconnect approach
  • De-escalating challenging behaviour using proactive and appropriate strategies
  • Collaborating with teachers, the Pastoral Lead, and support staff to inform learning and intervention
  • Providing meaningful support that promotes personal development and resilience

  • Essential: Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Desirable: Proven experience in pastoral or SEN support roles

  • Students are unique, full of potential, and require tailored support
  • Many have previously struggled in mainstream settings
  • Pupils typically remain until 16-17, progressing to local colleges or training
  • They have a variety of Learning Needs, SLCN, and Emotional Needs
