The Role: Pastoral Support Team Member
- You will join a dedicated Pastoral Support Team to support students' emotional and academic development. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting students' wellbeing and helping them develop emotional self-regulation
- Building trusting, positive relationships with pupils to guide reflection and personal growth
- Understanding individual SEND needs to support the school's reflect-repair-reconnect approach
- De-escalating challenging behaviour using proactive and appropriate strategies
- Collaborating with teachers, the Pastoral Lead, and support staff to inform learning and intervention
- Providing meaningful support that promotes personal development and resilience

- Essential: Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Desirable: Proven experience in pastoral or SEN support roles

- Many have previously struggled in mainstream settings
- Pupils typically remain until 16-17, progressing to local colleges or training
- They have a variety of Learning Needs, SLCN, and Emotional Needs
