SEN Class Teacher - Specialist Provision (Full-Time, Long-Term)
Location: Kettering Area
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026
Contract: Long-term with potential for permanent appointment
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience) + SEN Allowance

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a welcoming and well-resourced special school in the Kettering area, seeking an inspiring teacher to join their team.

About the Role:

As an SEN Class Teacher, you will plan and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of your pupils. You'll work with a small class of students with a range of complex learning needs, supported by skilled teaching assistants and a strong leadership team who prioritise staff wellbeing and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons in line with EHCP outcomes and the school's curriculum.

  • Use a range of strategies to support students with communication, sensory, and social-emotional needs.

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

  • Collaborate effectively with support staff, therapists, and parents/carers.

  • Track progress and adapt learning approaches to meet individual needs.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS).

  • Experience working with pupils with SEND (e.g. ASD, MLD, SLD, SEMH).

  • A creative and adaptable teaching style.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Tradewind).
