Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School - Islington
Start date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time (term-time only), long-term
Location: Islington
Pay: £110-£125 per day

A diverse and inclusive secondary school in Islington is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
About the role:
- Working 1:1 or in small groups with students at risk of exclusion or disengagement
- Supporting emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and positive behaviour strategies
- Liaising with the pastoral team, SENCO, and external services
- Leading lunchtime and afterschool support activities
- Monitoring and reporting on behaviour, attendance and academic progress
About you:
- Background in youth work, mentoring, or alternative education
- Calm, non-judgemental, and emotionally intelligent
- Skilled at building relationships and trust with challenging learners
- A firm but fair approach to managing behaviour
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
