Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School - Hackney
Start date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time (term-time only), long-term
Location: Hackney
Pay: £95-£110 per day (depending on experience)

A secondary school in Hackney is seeking a compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support students across KS3 and KS4 who require additional help to achieve their academic potential.

About the role:

  • Working closely with students who have special educational needs (SEN), including those with autism, dyslexia, and ADHD
  • Providing in-class support, as well as delivering small group and one-to-one interventions
  • Collaborating with teachers and the SENCO to adapt resources and learning activities
  • Monitoring student progress and offering feedback to support academic and personal development
  • Promoting student independence and confidence inside and outside the classroom

About you:

  • Previous experience supporting young people in a school, tuition or youth work setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Patient, resilient, and proactive with a genuine interest in education
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a wider team
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
