SEND Teaching Assistant
Mainstream Secondary School, Greenwich

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in a thriving mainstream secondary school in Greenwich.
Role Details:
- Start Date: Immediate
- Commitment: Full-time, Long-term (until the end of the academic year)
- Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEND, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their individual learning goals.
- Work closely with teachers and SEND coordinators to develop and implement strategies that address each student's unique needs.
- Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment, encouraging engagement and participation.
- Monitor student progress and assist with assessments, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.
- Support with classroom activities and help with administrative tasks as needed.
- Encourage social and emotional development, guiding students in positive behaviours and skills for success.
Requirements:
- Experience: Prior experience in a child-based role, preferably within an educational or SEND setting.
- DBS: Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.
- SEND Experience: Demonstrated experience working with students with special educational needs is essential.
- Skills: Patience, empathy, strong communication, and a collaborative spirit.
