Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with a range of secondary schools across Lambeth to recruit qualified Secondary Supply Teachers for flexible day-to-day cover opportunities from October 2026.

About the Schools
You'll have the opportunity to work across a variety of well-supported secondary schools throughout Lambeth, gaining experience with different year groups, leadership teams and teaching environments.
Role Summary
As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will provide high-quality classroom cover across KS3, KS4 and KS5, delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring continuity of learning during staff absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day classroom cover across KS3, KS4 and KS5
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and support pupil progress
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Adapt quickly to different school environments and year groups
- Build positive relationships with students and staff
- Support a positive and productive learning environment
- Provide feedback to teaching staff where required
- Follow school safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety procedures
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Recent UK secondary classroom experience
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence adapting quickly to different schools and subjects
- A professional, flexible and reliable approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and supporting positive student outcomes
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Pay and Progression
This position offers £150-£170 per day PAYE, depending on experience and individual assignment requirements.
Pay is determined using the national teacher pay scale. Teachers with substantial UK secondary teaching experience, strong behaviour management skills, experience teaching across multiple key stages and a proven ability to adapt successfully to different school settings are more likely to secure opportunities at the top rate of £170 per day PAYE.
