Behaviour Support Mentor - Alternative Provision

Are you from a residential care, youth work, or support background and looking to take your skills into education?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting Behaviour Support Mentors to work in Alternative Provision settings, supporting students who need structure, consistency, and strong role models to succeed.

This role is ideal for individuals experienced in working with young people with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, or additional needs, who are ready to make a real impact in a school environment.


The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support
  • Support behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students
  • Help re-engage pupils with learning and routine
  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams

  • Background in residential care, youth work, or education
  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
  • Calm, resilient, and consistent approach
