Key Responsibilities

  • Dynamic Teaching: Plan and deliver engaging, high-impact Mathematics lessons that challenge and inspire students across the secondary age range.

  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of the Maths department's schemes of work, ensuring alignment with national standards and GCSE requirements.

  • Student Progress: Use data-driven insights to monitor student achievement, providing targeted interventions to ensure no child is left behind.

  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering a culture of respect and academic curiosity.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Mathematics faculty and the Senior Leadership Team to share best practices and drive departmental success.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualifications: Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Mathematics or a related subject.

  • Passion for Maths: A deep subject knowledge and the ability to inspire a love for problem-solving in young people.

  • Resilience & Adaptability: Experience working in a busy secondary school environment with a proven ability to manage diverse learning needs.

  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

  • Safeguarding: A firm commitment to safeguarding; the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
