Job Title: Exam Invigilators
Borough: Ealing

We are seeking to appoint staff to support the effective delivery of external examinations during the Summer 2026 examination series. This role plays a vital part in ensuring examinations are conducted in a fair, secure, and supportive environment.

Registration: The registration process will take place at the beginning of March.

Applicants must be available to work between 3 and 5 days per week throughout the examination window in May and June.

Working Arrangements

  • Minimum payment of 4 hours for half-day sessions
  • 6 hours paid for full-day sessions
  • Working days and session lengths will vary in line with the examination timetable
  • Training
  • All successful applicants will be required to complete:
  • Mandatory online invigilation training in advance of the exam series
  • A short assessment to demonstrate understanding of awarding body regulations

Main Responsibilities

Preparing examination venues in accordance with awarding body and school requirements
Ensuring candidates understand exam instructions and comply with regulations

  • Supervising examinations to maintain order, focus, and academic integrity
  • Distributing and collecting exam papers and materials securely
  • Monitoring candidate behaviour and identifying potential malpractice
  • Accurately completing exam documentation and attendance registers
  • Reporting any issues or irregularities immediately to senior staff
  • Upholding safeguarding, confidentiality, and health and safety standards

Person Specification

  • Availability for 3-5 days per week during May and June 2026
  • Ability to provide two professional references covering at least six months
  • Hold a current DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to work calmly under pressure

Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential. The position is based in Ealing, and full training and support will be provided.
