Are you looking for a teaching role that offers maximum variety without the heavy burden of full-time planning? Do you thrive in different environments and enjoy the challenge of working across various year groups?
We are seeking a versatile and energetic PPA Cover Teacher (or an experienced HLTA) to join our Blackpool Academy. This role is perfect for a professional who wants to build exceptional classroom management skills and gain exposure to the full primary spectrum, from EYFS through to Year 6.
Our Vision & Values
At our Academy, we take immense pride in our community. We foster a safe, disciplined, and stimulating environment where respect, integrity, and excellence are at the heart of everything we do. We encourage "brave learning" and want our staff to embody the same resilience we instill in our pupils.
The Role: Impact through Versatility
Your primary focus will be releasing class teachers for their essential PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) time and covering occasional absences.
- The Work: The bulk of the planning is already completed by our talented year-group leads. Your role is to take those plans and deliver them with high energy and impact.
- Exposure: You will experience the unique dynamics of different key stages, making it an ideal role for an ECT or an HLTA looking to step up.
- Consistency: This is a full-time commitment until the end of the academic year (July 2026), providing stability for both you and the school.
Key Requirements
- Qualification: You must be a Qualified Teacher (QTS) or a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA/Level 4).
- Character: Intuitive, proactive, and "get stuck in" from the moment you walk into a new classroom.
- Skills: Strong classroom management is essential, along with the ability to tweak lesson plans to suit the specific needs of the pupils.
Benefits of working with Tradewind:
- Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant
- Virtual registration for a streamlined and efficient process.
- Free access to 2,500 CPD courses and resources via The National College
- Online time sheets for easy and quick submission
- Top rates of pay, PAYE (no Umbrella companies)
- Opportunity to experience a range of placements in schools local to you.
- Flexible work to suit your schedule, with daily supply and long-term option.
