Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Kidderminster.
About the Role
As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students with behavioural, social or emotional needs, both in and out of the classroom
- Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
- Work 1:1 or with small groups to help pupils re-engage with learning
- Build trusting, professional relationships that promote positive behaviour
- Assist teachers in creating a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
- Contribute to behaviour plans and pastoral support programmes
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with young people with behavioural needs (school, youth work, mentoring or similar)
- Strong communication, resilience and emotional intelligence
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and use positive behaviour strategies
- A genuine commitment to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
- Team‑working skills and a proactive approach
