A well-established secondary school in Wellingborough is seeking to appoint a committed Chemistry Teacher from February 2026. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive Science department that values engaging teaching, professional growth, and positive student outcomes.
The Role:
Teach Chemistry across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to A-Level Chemistry if appropriate
Deliver clear, engaging lessons supported by practical work and demonstrations
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of mixed-ability classes
Monitor progress and use assessment to inform future planning
Work closely with colleagues to support curriculum development and enrichment activities
About You:
Holds QTS, QTLS, or a recognised equivalent qualification
Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and confidence teaching some general Science
Calm, confident classroom presence with effective behaviour management
Reflective, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement
Keen to play an active role within the wider school community
Applications are encouraged from ECTs and experienced teachers, with induction and mentoring support available.
