Chemistry Teacher - Wellingborough

Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire

A well-established secondary school in Wellingborough is seeking to appoint a committed Chemistry Teacher from February 2026. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive Science department that values engaging teaching, professional growth, and positive student outcomes.

The Role:

  • Teach Chemistry across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to A-Level Chemistry if appropriate

  • Deliver clear, engaging lessons supported by practical work and demonstrations

  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of mixed-ability classes

  • Monitor progress and use assessment to inform future planning

  • Work closely with colleagues to support curriculum development and enrichment activities

About You:

  • Holds QTS, QTLS, or a recognised equivalent qualification

  • Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and confidence teaching some general Science

  • Calm, confident classroom presence with effective behaviour management

  • Reflective, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement

  • Keen to play an active role within the wider school community
