Are you an enthusiastic English Teacher looking for a long-term opportunity in Swindon? Do you have a passion for English Language and Literature and want to make a real difference to students' learning?
Tradewind Recruitment are seeking dedicated English Teachers to cover long-term sickness absence across secondary schools in the Swindon area. This is a long-term, ongoing role involving full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking and assessment, with the potential for contract offers if things go well.
We are happy to consider:
* Qualified English Teachers (QTS)
* Experienced unqualified teachers
* English specialists with proven experience teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
For the right candidate, this role can be full-time (5 days per week) or 4 days per week.

Key Information:
* Long-term, ongoing role covering long-term sickness
* Start date: ASAP
* Full teaching responsibilities (planning & marking included)
* Full-time preferred, 4 days per week considered
* Working hours: 8.30am-3.30pm, weekdays only
* Pay between £140-£300 per day, depending on experience and role (discussed individually following CV submission)
* Opportunity for direct school contracts if the placement is successful
* Based in Swindon secondary schools

* Has a strong passion for English and education
* Can confidently teach English across KS3 and KS4
* Engages and inspires students through creative and structured lessons
* Builds positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Manages classroom behaviour effectively and professionally
* Brings commitment, reliability, and enthusiasm to a long-term role

Essential Requirements:
* QTS or proven experience teaching English in secondary schools
* Experience delivering English lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Enhanced DBS Disclosure (or willingness to obtain one - we can help)
* Ability to provide professional references
* CV covering the last 10 years of employment where possible
* Legal right to work in the UK
