SANZA Teaching Agency are supporting an excellent primary school in the London Borough of Havering.

They are seeking learning support assistant to work in year 4 with a group of key students. The students have a diagnosis of Autism and you will rotate between working with each of them throughout the day.

As a learning support assistant, you will:

• Provide support in class, helping students access learning materials
• Work in partnership with class teacher to adapt lesson materials
• Encourage social interaction
• Assist with sensory breaks and offer support for emotional regulation
• Work with small groups of students delivering targeted interventions
• Work 1:1 with students as required

About you:

• Solid understanding of the Autism spectrum
• Be able to stretch and challenge the more able students
• Have a solid understanding of speech and language development
• Be able to celebrate each child's unique strengths and abilities
• Be able to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
