Job Title: Primary Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Contract Type: Temporary - Maternity Cover
Key Stage: KS1 or KS2
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, positive, and caring Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school team to cover a period of maternity leave. This role would suit a teacher who brings both energy and calm confidence to the classroom and is committed to providing high-quality learning experiences for all pupils.
The successful candidate will be teaching in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, so flexibility and confidence in working across early and later primary phases are essential.

Role Responsibilities
The successful Teacher will:
- Deliver high-quality teaching across KS1 and KS2
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the primary curriculum
- Maintain clear expectations for learning, behaviour, and classroom routines
- Create a calm, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress effectively
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support continuity and consistency
- Contribute positively to wider school life
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Secure classroom practice and strong behaviour management
- Experience or confidence teaching across different primary age phases
- High expectations for pupil achievement and engagement
- A warm, caring, and professional approach
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A willingness to be flexible and get involved in school life
- A steady, calm presence that supports pupils' wellbeing
