Hours: From 8:30am - 4:00pm
Availability: Full-Time or Part-Time (Flexible Days)

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking passionate, reliable and flexible SEN Teaching Assistants to support a range of Special Schools, PRUs and ARPs across the borough of Camden.

This is an excellent opportunity for TAs who are looking for flexible work that can fit around a university course, part-time study or other commitments. You choose the days you work, and we match you to schools that suit your skills and availability.

You'll support pupils with a variety of additional needs across different year groups, helping them to access learning and develop confidence, independence and positive behaviour.

What We're Looking For:

  • Flexible, adaptable TAs who can work across different schools, ages and needs

  • Someone with experience supporting children with SEN, SEMH or behavioural needs

  • A calm, patient and resilient approach

  • Individuals who can work full or part time, choosing their preferred days

  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

  • Confident communicators who can work well with teachers, pastoral teams and external professionals

  • Reliable, punctual and committed individuals who can make a positive impact


Essential SEN TA Requirements

  • Experience working with children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, behavioural needs)

  • Understanding of differentiated learning and how to scaffold support

  • Ability to follow behaviour plans and contribute to de-escalation strategies

  • Patience, empathy and strong relationship-building skills

  • Confidence supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups

  • Adaptability when working across different year groups and school types

  • Willingness to learn and follow safeguarding procedures

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • A proactive, positive attitude
