Location: Our client, a mixed 11-18 academy in Islington
Salary: London MPS / UPS

About the Role

Our Client is seeking an inspirational and experienced Maths Teacher to join their dynamic mathematics department, teaching across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5. You will be responsible for:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality mathematics lessons.
  • Assessing pupils' progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
  • Supporting students in preparation for GCSE and A-level examinations.
  • Contributing to curriculum development, schemes of work, and assessment strategies.
  • Engaging in extra-curricular enrichment such as maths clubs, mentoring, and revision sessions.
  • Working collaboratively with other teachers, heads of department, and senior leadership to drive student outcomes and academic excellence.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Mathematics, Maths Education, or a closely related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching Maths across KS3-KS5 in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum and examination specifications (GCSE and A-Level).
  • Evidence of successful student outcomes (e.g., exam results, progress data).
