Tradewind are recruiting! Are you looking for your next role teaching English in a school located in Southwark?

Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be supporting this Client, a well-established co-educational secondary academy in Southwark, as they seek a part-time English Teacher to join their successful team from January. This position is 3 days per week, teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, and is offered as a maternity cover. The role is paid in line with the London MPS.

Role Requirements - English Teacher

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Track progress and provide effective feedback to support pupil development.
  • Contribute to the wider English department and collaborate on curriculum planning.
  • Maintain high expectations for pupil behaviour, progress and achievement.
  • Participate in department meetings, assessments and school events where required.

Qualifications & Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in English or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 within a UK school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring a love of English.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
  • A reflective practitioner committed to continuous professional development.
