The Role:

  • Lead and inspire the Maths department, setting high expectations for teaching, learning, and student progress

  • Deliver outstanding Maths lessons across key stages

  • Drive curriculum development and innovation within the subject area

  • Support and mentor colleagues to build a high-performing team

  • Use allocated leadership time (equivalent to 1 day per week) to effectively fulfil curriculum leadership responsibilities

  • Champion a supportive, inclusive approach that ensures every pupil can thrive

  • Contribute to whole-school leadership and strategic planning

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching Maths at secondary level

  • Proven ability to raise standards and lead improvements

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills

  • A passion for ensuring all children and young people receive an education that transforms their lives

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
