  • Model outstanding teaching and provide support and guidance to colleagues.

  • Use data and assessment to drive progress and promote literacy across all key stages.

  • Contribute to whole-school development and lead on initiatives to raise engagement in English.

  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure continuous improvement in teaching and learning.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS).

  • Experience teaching English, ideally within a SEND or inclusive setting.

  • Proven ability to plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons.

  • A track record (or strong potential) for curriculum leadership.

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.

  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply through Tradewind.

Why Work with Tradewind Recruitment?

  • Competitive salary with additional TLR and SEN allowances.

  • Ongoing CPD, leadership development, and progression opportunities.

  • Supportive consultants specialising in SEND and school leadership recruitment.

  • Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a school that values creativity, inclusivity, and innovation.

If you're an enthusiastic English specialist who thrives on seeing students achieve their best - and you're ready to lead from the front - we'd love to hear from you!
