Main Duties

  • To provide all children with high quality learning experiences, through high quality teaching and curriculum provision.
  • To plan and deliver lessons within the school's framework based on the National Curriculum and EYFS guidelines.
  • To apply the principles of effective assessment for learning, in particular giving quality feedback and using information gathered to inform planning, including tracking and maintaining evidence of children's progress.
  • To actively promote and safeguard the welfare of pupils.
  • To support and promote the shared values, ethos, aims and policies of the school.
  • To support and promote the principles of inclusion and equality for all children and adults in the school community.
  • To establish and maintain good relationships with colleagues.
  • To work effectively in a range of teams and communicate effectively at an appropriate level with a range of audiences, especially parents and carers.
  • To carry out any other duties within the competence of the post holder, as determined by the Headteacher.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need:

  • An enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • A CV that must cover the last 10 years of employment history (where possible)
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, including English, Maths and Science.
  • Undergraduate education degree or a degree in any subject and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • In-school teaching experience
  • Fluent level of English, spoken and written.
