Key Responsibilities of a Teacher of Science:

As a Teacher of Science, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality Science lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students through practical experiments and engaging learning activities

  • Using a range of innovative teaching techniques to motivate students and foster scientific curiosity

  • Tracking and assessing pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and support where needed

  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all learners

Requirements:

To be successful in this Teacher of Science role, you should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

  • Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school setting

  • Excellent communication, classroom management, and organisational skills

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
